What is the best thing to wear for a family portrait?
Families
- Dad – Facial hair! Have a fresh shave or trim, and use a new razor to limit bumps and redness. Make sure nails are clean and trimmed. Wash your hands. Clean up your shoes. Moisturize and scrub away flaky facial skin (see above General advice). When you wash your face, pay attention to eye boogers and sleep crusties. For wardrobe, go for jeans or pants, polo or dress shirt with a belt, or go casual with just a T-shirt or untucked polo or dress shirt, etc. In general, whatever your wife tells you to wear. Again you don’t have to perfectly match the rest of the family, just wear something that coordinates.
- Mom – Women know what to wear, but in general, unless you are extremely thin you may want to wear something that covers your upper-arms. Long or 3/4-sleeve tops are very flattering. If you wear jewelry, aim for subtlety, and be aware of it twisting or turning.
- Kids – Same advice as above, but again, everything needn’t match, simply coordinate with the parents’ outfits. If Dad’s in a T-shirt, don’t put the kids in dress shirts – make it make sense.
Makeup Ideas:
Toner (astringent for the oily skin and freshener for the normal to dry)
or powder based foundation that can be applied dry or with a sponge

This is a modeling portfolio photo session we shot in Sunset Beach, Orange County California. When your shooting for a modeling portfolio, modeling card, modeling submissions, model marketing, etc., you are going to have to shoot as many looks as possible on your photo session.
When we shot Mc Call's first outfit we went for khaki pants, flannel button down shirt and swimwear underneath for quick changes on location. We had a makeup/hair stylist on location with us for a clean yet messy hair look aka the perfect mess.
When we shot Mc Call's 2nd outfit we went for , aa summer dress and boots, and loose tied back hair.
When we shot Mc Call's 3rd outfit we went for my favorite jeans, shirt, jacket and tie. We went with the hair down most of the time because, well look how cool her hair is.
Last but not least the 4th outfit look. This outfit was awesome with black pleather pants, silver tank top and silver shoes.

Shooting Modeling Portfolio Photo Session In Black and White
Shooting in front of the Lighthouse and Queen Mary Monochrome aka black and white photography using pro photo lighting.
I do love having a studio in Newport Beach just footsteps away from the beach and pier, but even more I love to go on adventures like this one in Long Beach. We jumped into a thrift store and grabbed a bunch of vintage outfits, props and suitcases for this shoot. Long Beach is known for all of it's awesome thrift stores.

A: "Born in Anchorage, Alaska, raised in Oregon,
have lived all over the country, currently enjoying Sunny Southern California."
Q: "How long have you been into music?"
A: "Mom's a choral singer, Dad plays saxophone and piano, they got me my first acoustic guitar in
third grade, an electric in the 90's, played my first open mic in 2001. Been in Love with good music as long as I can remember.."
Q:"Where have you performed?"
A: "To date, I've played hundreds of shows. I've sang and played with two, three and four piece bands from park benches, living rooms, balconies, cafe's, coffeehouses, mall stores, small bars, radio shows, tourist spots, bridge opening ceremonies, farmers markets, big bars, hospitals, amphitheatres, summer festivals, music festivals and community television stages.."
